Welcome to Nomad Adventure
Hi, I'm Adam and this is the start of a new adventure, NomadAdventure
Many years ago I am afraid to say the adventure started, it nearly didn't. Unlike most I did not come into the world kicking and screaming, in fact it was debatable exactly what state I was in when I entered this world.
With help and support from a country Hospitals medical staff I made it to
Great Ormond Street Hospital. Thanks to their great care and diligence, not to mention the love of my family I made it through the first year of life, my heart tried to argue the point 6 or 7 times in that first year, thankfully everyone persisted, including myself it seems.
As each year passed and each stitch healed my family and I grew stronger. After 7 years I was beginning to catch up with the rest of the world, all be it slowly.
The legs and back I possessed continued to grumble and complain; happily we have the propensity to become bored with almost anything and move on to do something else.
At 16 I had the last of these surgical trials and embarked on finding new trials of, if not my own making, the making of the real world.
Now many years on and many trials survived, some better than others, as I am sure you understand, saying thank you to that special hospital would give me no greater pleasure, for surely without them I would not be able to give my thanks.
So let's have another adventure, NomadAdventure, a venture of thanks.
Sometimes in talking about what is different between us, we help others gloss over what is the same.
I have not decided on this venture to prove anything about myself, only to try and say thank you, I have a feeling however that I may well do so.
I would like to assure those that know me and those reading this and join in no matter how, this is all about that very special Hospital and yes I am biased and yes it is special.
So without any further delay please allow me to explain.....About Nomad Adventure
